Welcome To the Freeport-Baldwin Farmers’ Market! We are located on the boarder of Freeport and Baldwin at Baldwin Long Island Rail Road Station. We are in Park Lot 3BA-12, across for Freeport High School. We also host a mobile market, taking the market to senior housing complexes to accommodate those who are less mobile and physically unable to get to a market location.

Our markets offer a wide variety of seasonal locally-grown produced throughout the summer and fall months, including organic produce grown in our own garden, the “Seed to Table” Community Garden. We also have crafts and artisans vending to give the market an interesting flavor that is fun and family friendly.

Modeled after the youth market program of GrowNYC and in partnership Minority Leader Kevan Abraham and Legislator Debra Mule’, our goal is to increase the availability and consumption of fresh, nutritious fruits and vegetables while creating a sense of community. The uniqueness of our market is that we are youth-run, giving high school students an opportunity to gain financial literacy skills through the filter of entrepreneurialism, build and run a small business, while being paid an hourly wage.

Preference is given to those students who have attended Cedarmore’s Young Entrepreneurs Training Program (YETP).  To sign up for the YETP, to http://cedarmore.org/young-entrepreneurs-training-program-yetp/.

Much of the produce for the Freeport Farmer’s Markets are purchased from farmers on Long Island, giving residents access to healthy affordable food while enhancing the local food market and economy. Most importantly, Student-run Farmers’ Markets gives farmers the opportunity to sell their produce to an untapped market while still maintaining their farms.

All are welcome! This year we are bringing some exciting new initiatives that include new products and a variety of cultural arts activities that will be entertaining and create a family-friendly, fun-filled gathering place.

We accept Cash, Master Card, VISA, American Express, Discover and EBT.  We also accept Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) and FreshConnect Checks.
